Republic of Texas History Center Update

The Republic of Texas History Center committee is very busy putting together a spectacular presentation for the upcoming annual convention in Dallas this May. The presentation will very likely be a big hit with the Daughters! In addition to getting ready for Convention, we are working with Lym Miller Architecture in Austin preparing for the permitting process and other details for our new home. Fundraising efforts continue, and we have two very capable professionals helping with grant writing and preparations for various fundraising projects.

We want to take this opportunity to remind all Daughters about the Flagpole Contest and Ancestor Paver Contest.  Both contests end on May 1, 2017.  Guidelines, rules and forms for these contests are on the DRT members’ website with links under the rendering of the Daughter’s new home (or simply click the highlighted links above). Please remember that this will be the last opportunity for us to honor our ancestors in this way. Buying a paver is a special way to honor their legacy and contributions to the Republic of Texas, which is what made this Republic thrive!
